Valentine's Day Caramilk Blondies


VALENTINE’S DAY CARAMILK BLONDIES

TIP

We used two 10x20cm rectangle foil trays for this recipe, but you could also use a greased and lined 20cm square baking tin.

INGREDIENTS

225g butter, melted

340g brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tbsp Dollar Sweets Vanilla Extract

285g plain flour

1 tsp sea salt

260g Caramilk baking chips

Dollar Sweets Vanilla Buttercream

Dollar Sweets Food Colouring (red)

Dollar Sweets Dollar 5’s (pink)

Mini Heart Sprinkles

Strawberry or cherry gummy candy plus conversation hearts candy to decorate


Preheat a fan forced oven to 160ºC.


Stir together melted butter and brown sugar and allow to cool slightly before adding eggs and vanilla extract.


Add flour and salt and mix until combined, then stir through chocolate chips.


Divide the batter between the two foil tins and bake for 30-35 mins until golden on top. Allow brownies to cool completely.


Tint buttercream with 1-2 drops of red food colour to achieve a pale pink colour. Mix well then pipe around the border of the trays.


Fill the centre with pink Dollar 5’s, mini heart sprinkles, gummy candy and conversation hearts, to decorate.
